Pre-Detail Inspection

Chase walks around the vehicle with you before touching anything. Every scratch, stain, and problem area gets noted so you know exactly what will be addressed and what to expect. No surprises at the end.

Exterior Decontamination and Wash

Starting with a foam pre-soak to loosen surface contamination, the exterior gets a two-bucket hand wash from roof to rocker panels. Wheels, wheel arches, and door shuts are cleaned separately to avoid cross-contamination on the paint.

Paint and Surface Correction

Depending on your chosen tier, this step involves clay bar decontamination to remove bonded surface contamination like rail dust and tree sap, followed by machine polishing to reduce or remove swirl marks and oxidation. This is where the real paint restoration happens.

Interior Deep Clean

Every surface inside the cabin gets attention. Seats are vacuumed and either steam cleaned or extracted depending on fabric type. Leather gets a proper clean and conditioner applied. The dashboard, vents, cup holders, door pockets, and boot are all wiped down and treated.

Protection Application and Final Inspection

A sealant, ceramic spray, or coating is applied to exterior panels depending on your tier. Tyres are dressed, glass is polished inside and out, and the full vehicle is inspected in good light before handback. You get a walk-around at the end so you can see every area that was treated.

We do not display exact prices online because a heavily soiled or larger vehicle costs more to do properly than a small clean hatchback. A Standard full detail on a small to mid-size vehicle typically takes 3-4 hours. A Premium detail runs 5-6 hours. A Showroom detail on a large or heavily contaminated vehicle can take a full day. You will get a realistic time estimate when you request your quote so you can plan around it.
With regular maintenance washes every 4-6 weeks, a Standard detail holds up for 2-3 months. A Premium detail with sealant applied typically lasts 4-6 months before the next full service is needed. The Showroom tier with ceramic spray protection can extend that to 6-12 months depending on how the vehicle is used and stored.
Keep up with regular hand washes or contact wash methods every 2-4 weeks. Avoid drive-through automated car washes as they reintroduce swirl marks. Inside the cabin, vacuum regularly and use a UV protectant on the dashboard every couple of months. Chase can advise on specific products to use at home after your appointment.

Defects caused by pre-existing damage or conditions outside our control are noted during the pre-detail inspection so there is no confusion about what was there before we started.

No. Shining Show Cars is fully self-contained. Chase carries his own water supply and generator, so all you need to do is have the vehicle accessible. A flat area like a driveway, carport, or street parking spot is all that is needed.
You need to be available at the start for the pre-detail inspection and at the end for the walk-around. You do not need to supervise the work in between. Most clients go about their day and come back for the handover.
